Dj Cruze – Biography
MR CACHE! Before he became a top Latin (Reggaeton) Disc Jockey in NYC/NJ area. Luis Gutierrez aka Dj Cruze is a Jersey native with a Mexican heritage. Decending from a family of musicians, Cruze was introduced to art and music. At a young age Cruze aspired to become the next biggest DJ and at the age of 12 he started to pursue the art.
At the age of 13, Cruze was creating mixtapes on cassette tapes. Little did he know, family and friends were duplicating his mixtapes and created a buzz for himself. Not realizing the impact it will occur in the future. During mid 2000s Cruze created mixtapes on cds and the buzz continued to grow. He debuted a series of mixtapes in the early 2010’s called “TURN ME UP HIGH Vol 1”. Encouraged by the positive response “TURN ME UP HIGH Vol. 1” received, this disc jockey began releasing monthly mixtapes which erupted the club scene. In 2013, he caught the eye of a tv personality named MC LEXX. Who opened the gate for him to become the next radio/tv personality.
In addition of him earning a roster in a highly saturated market. Cruze began to take on club residencies all over NJ/NYC area. His unorthodox approach has made him a top contender in the nightlife scene in the NYC Metro Area. Despite coming from a small town; to seeing his name in the bright lights only demonstrates this jockey’s talent and persistence. As a result in growing in the Latin music market, Mr Cache began to open for big Latin recording artists. To name a few: De La Ghetto, Zion y Lennox, Baby Rasta y Gringo. He’s also shared the wheels of steels with some of the biggest Dj’s in the area such as DJ Camilo(Hot 97) , Dj Enuff(Hot 97), Prostyle(Power 105), Alex Sensation(LaMega97.9). His natural musical talent has taken him all over the country like Philadelphia, Delaware, Washington DC, Miami and more.
For two consecutive years, Cruze was fashion week’s Dj in Washington DC and one year in Brooklyn as well as Jersey City. He’s also Dj’d in celebrity events for a few famous people including Tracy Dimarco, Kim Depaola (RHONJ), Ramona Rizzo. Around 2015, Dj Cruze was a brand ambassador for Nuvo Liqueur.
In addition to his accolades, Dj Cruze has created an online presence. Not to mention he currently has 500k+ plays on his podcasts http://www.djcruze.podbean.com, 50k+ views on YouTube and has become a strong figure in the Latin Urban Market.
